We don’t have enough time to get all our tasks completed; there are not enough hours in the day, enough days in the year, enough years in life. Isn’t that what many of us think?
“I am constantly caught in this battle with time. As soon as my mind awakens in the morning, I find myself running through my tasks for the day. Before I know it, its 9pm, the house is quite, the kids are sleeping, lunches are made, and if I’m lucky, I finally have about 30 to 60 minutes of downtime to myself, before I have to go to sleep. That downtime flies by and then, my head finally hits the pillow. Certain days, I can’t close my eyes soon enough but other days, I’ll continue to lay there for another 30 to 40 minutes, thinking of the next day, and the days after. Sometimes, I reflect on the day passed, see if any improvements could’ve been made. And last, but not definitely the least, I thank god for all my blessings. I pray for strength to handle all of life’s situations, wisdom to make the right decisions in life, and guidance to tread the correct path in life.”
